I would like to stay in Japan in the future as an independent film maker first of all is the first question what type of visa would i need and how long can i stay for and how long can i extend my visa for?

No, the extension can be denied, for example if it is determined that you have no good reason to stay longer.

But first you have to qualify for it. There's no need to ask questions about extending something you haven't yet been approved for. Get your visa first then concern yourself with trying to extend it.

No, experience alone won't guarantee you a visa. It's case by case.

Very probably not, but it may qualify for another one, such as "Journalist" if you work for a foreign video games magazine. More information is needed.

You mean as an employee of a video game company? The closest thing I can see is "Engineer", but in order to qualify, the job must require advanced technical skills (at least at the level of a university degree).

I have a course am doing to do games testing as a Quality Assurance tester where i get a qualification at that level to test games at home where i am in the United Kingdom?

You have no chance of getting a visa as a game tester working at home for a UK company. Forget about it.

It's unlikely you have any real experience as a film maker, so you can forget about an artist visa for now.
