hello
we will be Japan for 3 weeks at the beginning of April, and I would really really love to take part to the celebrations from April 8th to 10th. Of course all shukubos are already booked and we have a small budget (10.000Y), and don't speak Japanese.
Is there a solution to sleep on the mountain ?
or close to it by public transport so as to be there before 9 o'clock ?

Sorry, I cannot help you with your question. I've heard (a month ago already) from the people from Japanese Guest Houses that everything is booked for April. Your best chance would be going for the day from (I guess) Osaka.
On the other hand, I'm looking for information about these celebrations at Koyasan. The only thing I know is that they're celebrating 1200 years of the place. Do you have more information? A site link? Thanks.
