Osaka Mint for Cherry blossom 4/15/15

We are on a cruise that will stay at Osaka
4/15/15 for one day only. Are cherry blossoms forecast for that day at the Mint and are visitors allowed? If so,
can you tell us how to get there from the cruise port?Thanks for your help.

It is very likely that the trees will be in bloom. At least some of the many varieties present.

Yes. The dates for this year's special opening won't be announced until mid March, but the fact is that the public is allowed into the mint's garden even outside the special opening (except on weekends and on the day before the special opening starts). So, unless the special opening starts on April 14, you will be able to enter the mint's garden.

can you tell us how to get there from the cruise port?

Assuming you arrive at the Tempozan cruise port, the best way to travel by public transportation is by Chuo and Tanimachi Subway Line as shown below:
