Evening event at the Takayama Festival

Is the evening event at the Takayama Festival worth seeing. The bus back to Nagoya leaves before the beginning of the event. I do plan to see the festival from 12 noon to 5 pm.

I would think the evening festival would be amazing with the lighting of the floats but that is just me.
When I was in Takayama, I stayed here for two days. First day was Exploring Takayama afternoon and night. The next day at the morning markets and then Shirakawa-go day trip.
