Hi, I am going to Japan in 2 weeks and we have purchased a 3 week JR pass. We will need to go: Narita airport --Shibuya Excel Shibuya Excel -- Nikko Natsukashiya Fuwari Nikko Natsukashiya Fuwari-- Nikko National park Nikko Natsukashiya Fuwari-- Edo Wonderland Nikko Natsukashiya Fuwari-- Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa --- Nara Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa -- Swissotel Nankai Osaka Swissotel Nankai Osaka --- Hiroshima Hiroshima -- Shinjuku Ibis Tokyo
Are the trains easy to manoeuvre? We do not speak any Japanese so I am a bit worried we might get lost.

Everything is well signed in English: JR trains are very easy to use. Just allow plenty of time to negotiate busy stations, esp if you are travelling at rush hour. Also allow time to find and line up at the correct carriage for long distance trains. Good luck!

It isn't hard, and there is not much to be fearful of. Just remember if you have a reserved seat on any of the long distance trains, take note of the platform and the carriage, plus your seat number. The issuing office clerk can circle these for you, they are in number form. As well remember that Japanese trains are very punctual, so if your departure time is say 8.37am then it will be 8.37, not the train that might be in at the platform at 8.34am. It will leave and the other one will slide on in. Enjoy your trip.
