Lockers at Takayama, crowds

Hello and thanks for your help.

We are travelling from Kanazawa to Kyoto on March 28th. I thought we could go via Shirakawa and Takayama. It doesn't matter if we reach Kyoto late in the day.

We will be travelling with 2 carry on size bags. An older thread here indicates that there are lockers this size at Shirakawago bus stop. Is this still the case and are there an at Takayama?

Also do you think we would have difficulties getting train tickets Takayama- -Nagoya-Kyoto on that day?

That is a massive day: You would need to leave Kanazawa first thing, and rush around Takayama.
You don�ft want to be dealing with luggage as well.
Send your luggage from your Kanazawa hotel to your Kyoto hotel by Takuhaibin service the day before you leave Kanazawa (to save time on the morning you leave) and live out of a day pack for 24 hours....much easier.
