Hi, I would like to ask about plum blossom viewing in Kyoto. I don't know how long the plum bloom. I will be arriving Osaka on the March 8, 2015. I am going to Kyoto on March 9th or 10th. I want to go see plum blossom at Kitano Tenmagu shrine. Is it still blooming in that period? Or anyone can recommend me place to view plum in Kyoto or Osaka. Thank you very much.

I think you it will be okay. From what I have seen from the date pictures were taken, the Ume at Kyoto locations are fairly good from the last couple of weeks of February to the first couple of weeks of March. Of course, it varies by the year.
