Is it polite to comment on a Japanese home?

Hi everyone,
I will be visiting my friend's parents home this week. I just know it will be beautiful. Is it polite to comment on their house? If there is a way, how would you say: "your home is beautiful, thank-you for inviting me?"
Any other polite suggestions?
Thanks so much in advance :)

"your home is beautiful, thank-you for inviting me?" Yes, it's good. No problem.
