Hi,
I will stay in Kyoto in april.I want tovisit Arashiyama also. Is it far from Kyoto center? How I can go there?

If you have a JR Pass it is easy to take the train into Arashiyama. From there, it takes a bit of walking to cover the area but there are many good places within walking distance. One of the best though is at the end of the line in the north - a quirky place called Otagi Nenbutsuji and well worth it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efvtB_5jmjAInstead of a stoic and somber atmosphere, you actually see a lot of humor and whimsical displays - nothing else in Kyoto is quite like it - and no crowds either.
