Coming to Japan next week for the cherry blossoms. This is our 2nd trip and pretty much saw most of the touristy places in Tokyo that we wanted to see. Is Kawagoe worth seeing? FYI, will be seeing Takayama,Kanazawa and Kiso Valley after we leave Tokyo.

If the blossoms are out when you're in Tokyo, go to KUDANSHITA subway station (Mita, Hanzomon and Shinjuku lines), then see the cherry trees around the palace moat. Lovely.

I liked Kawagoe a lot when I went, and thought it was a really nice place, but after places like Takayama or Kiso, I'm not sure if it is anything special.
I liked the clock tower and the festival museum the best, if you do go.
