What pass for Osaka

I am staying at the Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport.

1. I need to get to Osaka early the next morning.
2. I will tour Osaka almost all day. Osaka Castle, Sakuranomiya Park, shopping ctr, the night life act., etc.
I prefer not to buy indiviidual ticket, rather a ticket that can be used for buses and subways, if possible.

You can use it with major private railways and buses in Osaka city.

If you buy it at Nankai Kanku International airport station,you can also use it with Nankai railway from Kansai international airport to Osaka city.

But you need to be aware that this pass cannot be used with JR.

If you buy it at Nankai Kanku International airport station,you can also use it with Nankai railway from Kansai international airport to Osaka city.

Normal version of Osaka Amazing Pass is not valid for transportation from Kansai Airport. With Nankai version (2900 yen one day) you can travel from/to Kansai Airport.

I believe this will continue beyond April 1, 2015, but Nankai Railways did not announce it.

Thank you very much for clearing things up for me. I will be going from Kansai Airport to Osaka one way. Does this make any difference?

If you want to start your day at Osaka Castle,
take the Nankai railway and get out at TENGACHAYA station. There you can make an easy change to the Sakaisuji subway. Go 5 stops to SAKAISUJI-HOMMACHI station and change to the Chuo subway. Go 1 stop to TANIMACHI-YONCHOME station, near the castle. It opens at 09:00.

One way with Haruka to Osaka, and 1500‰~ Icoca card all day for any public transport ( except taxi) in Osaka would be more than ample.

Normal version of Osaka Amazing Pass is 2300 yen which covers Nankai railway beyond Sakai. The train fare from Kansai Airport to Sakai is 820 yen.

Note that you must pay additional "express fee" or "seat fee" if you take Nankai's limited express Rapit.

The difference of "normal" and "Nankai" version of Osaka Amazing Pass is 600 yen, so you might better buy Nankai version. Whether Osaka Amazing Pass is valid for you is another issue: If you want to visit 3 or more attractions, yes it will be valuable.
