JR Nara to Nara Park

Hey guys, my parents will be travelling with me to Japan and I am thinking of taking a bus from JR Nara to Nara Park.

I guess I can take bus 70 or 97 from East Gate 1 to stop at Todaiji Daibutsuden?

How much will that cost? I will only drop by Nara Park a while and go back to JR Nara. Is the bus a loop system, which means I can take 70 or 97 again but it will take a longer time to reach JR Nara instead of 8 minutes?

Kintetsu : 近鉄(not JR rail stn)
Nara stn : 奈良駅
運行予定 : operate calender 通年 whole year 毎日 everyday

I mean bus line 2 from JR Nara Station East Gate to Daibutsuden Kasuga Taisha mae.
Going: 2, 70, 97
Returning: 1, 70, 97

You could walk it in 20 minutes if you wish.

There are many places to keep you busy there. Todaiji is the absolute best though and you have to go there no matter what. Kofukuji Temple is also good and the first thing you'll see if you walk the way in. Kasuga Shrine is on the other side but a very nice and peaceful place. Don't forget to buy some crackers and get assaulted by the deer there.
And be sure not to miss the 2 lovely gardens there - Isuien and Yoshikien - they are closeby and mostly overlooked in the tourist stampede to Todaiji:

Route A1 is to get to Nara Park from Nara station and Route B1 is for return.
