Foodie stores/supermarkets in Tokyo and Kyoto 2015/4/2 01:20
Looking to buy many products and condiments, but of highest quality, and possibly good prices :-) List is long, and i'm sure i will find much more to add wjen in the shops - Yuzu, sudachi and any other interesting citrus producs, best quality Kombu (recommended types?), Kinko and Matcha powders, dried goods.. Heard about propack at Kappabashi as a possible one stop place, will be glad to get more info on other good foodie places to visit, thank you.

Kinokuniya International Supermarket in Shibuya has them all.
Some Kinokuniya staff speak decent English but their price is high.

I'd recommend a nice department store food hall, such as the one in Isetan in Shinjuku: http://www.whereintokyo.com/venues/25059.html

You might also try Tsukiji Market in the morning. Skip the inner market, and focus on the shops in the outer market that cater to ordinary customers.

Propack is aimed at the restaurant trade, so they tend to specialize in bulk package sizes and less expensive choices.

Kinokuniya (which is not in Shibuya, by the way) is just an overpriced international supermarket - you'll find better selection at a department store.
