How to read Japan bus schedule (Yakushima)

Hello, I apologize for the ignorant question, but how does one read a bus schedule for Japanese routes? For some reason, I find it incredibly confusing; in particular, I am planning a trip to Yakushima and will need to use their buses. While I have found an english bus schedule, I can't seem to wrap my head around it. http://www.yakukan.jp/doc/pdf/e_yakubus141001.pdfFor example, is the top row or the left most row the 'destination'? I assume you read the times from left to right? If that is true, it doesn't seem like the routes loop.

No, the destination is the top row. The left column are the stops, you read times from top to bottom.

you have to read in vertical. a bus (bound for kurio-bashi) departs at 7:26 from Nagata. it arrives and departs at 8:00 from Miyanoura port. at 8:23 in airport,,,,, it arrives at 9:34 to kurio-bashi.
