Plan driving route in Chubu

Hello everyone,

My family will be doing a self-driving trip to Chubu in June 2015. We hope to visit 3 places (Shirawakago, Tateyama Alpine route and Takayama) within 2 days starting and ending in Nagoya. Our overnight location is Takayama town (accommodation booked). We also plan to do only partial route from Tateyama Station to/fro Murodo bus terminal.

May I know how should we plan our driving route, to avoid too long driving? We will do rest stops as and when necessary along the driving route. We gathered that driving is most economical for my family of 6 adults.

If after mid June will be rainy season started usual no good.

Our trip is in mid-June 2015, few days before the snow corridor closed.

We are planning a self-drive route this way:
Takayama - Tateyama - Nagoya (to return rental car and overnight in Nagoya hotel)

Is our plan doable then? Thank you.
