Renting a dog

I'm going to Japan in september, and i really need to find a way to rent a dog, preferably a Corgi, in Tokyo or Osaka.

Can anyone help me?

There may be some "dog cafe" that rents out their dogs, but that would go by the hour. What are you planning to do?

Funny, there's exactly this service offered in Tokyo. Cost is 3600 yen per hour plus 2000 yen per additional hour. Sorry, no corgis though.

Just the other day we were watching a segment on Tokyo Eye with Chris Peppler http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/english/tv/tokyoeye/index.html. The topic was renting things in Tokyo and one of the things they showed was renting a dog. It so happened the dog that was rented was a Corgi.... I think this segment was not a recent one, possibly one or two years old. They didn't name the renting company though, so I can't help you with that. Hopefully searching the internet will point you into the right direction!
