Takeda Castle from Himeji by Taxi or Train?

I'm planning to go visit Takeda Castle on late September (is this a good time to visit?). I'll be coming from Himeji the night before, and upon checking Hyperdia for the train schedules, the earliest one that leaves is 5:45am, and lasts 1.5 hours which might be cutting it close because I heard the best time to view the sea of clouds is during sunrise, plus I'm not exactly a very fast climber.

Will there be taxis around Himeji at around 5am? How long does it take to get there by taxi from Himeji? Also, will there be lockers near the castle because after visiting the castle, I'll be hopping on a train all the way back to Tokyo.

And in Sep still tyhoon season watch carfully weather forecast
if blowing strong winds makes no good clouds and low temp cold(over cool).

If good conditions still keeping by trains enough and cheaper if not larger numbers group.

Oops,forgot important one word.

Castle fan said around early "Dec" is best usual.
Late Sep are just not zero but depends on weather conditions
maybe still not enough temp down to lower in mid night to morning.

U know clouds based is "ice", right?
So need high humid in before day time with warmer temp
and lower temp for freezing enough in the night.
Very simple rule.

Sun lights making clouds top melted/erased first.

I went there by car, but considered going by train.
I parked in front of the JR station and hiked up, so that's not an issue at all. :)
