What to wear in Kanazawa in May?

I'll be going to Kanazawa in May - Early June. I was wondering what sort of clothes and shoes to bring on my trip. Also, should I bring a scarf or can I just not bring one? Same questions go for boots.

I heard it wil be cold but I'm not sure if it would require wearing layers or a scarf or boots.

Temperatures are now already up to 20-25C and it will become hotter towards June; dress lightly and use shoes comfortable for walking, IMO.

The cold weather in Kanazawa has passed, currently it's sunny and warm during the day and slightly chilly some nights. By late May it will be T shirt weather every day. Kanazawa is notorious for rain and you're coming here at the start of the rainy season so you should plan your wardrobe accordingly.
