kawaguchiko to tokyo

we are going to spend a night at kawaguchiko and travel to Tokyo. the hotel at Tokyo is near asakusa (near metro line as they say).
My question is which train or bus should i take from kawaguchiko to get to the hotel at Tokyo easily.

by Exp(high)way bus[need booking] until Shinjuku(or Tokyo) stn then take train.

by trains(no direct) until Asakusa via Otsuki(Fujikyu railway to JR)
