Suggestions for Tohoku region

Hello,

I plan to Japan in September, as I have covered the main attractions already in previous trips and I want to do trips beside my business in Tokyo I am going to buy the JR EAST Pass.
I was already at Matsushima, Sendai, Matsumoto, Nagano and Nikko.

Do you have really good suggestions for trips with the JR EAST Pass. I would prefer day trips from Tokyo.
