Does city tram line allow drive a car 2015/5/23 13:39
I want to know if I can drive my car along the city tram line (road 83). Thank you in advance.

Trams typically share the road with cars. But there are certain sections along which the trams are using dedicated paths that cannot be used by cars.

I don't know what "road 83" you are referring to. You have to be more specific. At least mention the city you are inquiring about.

As Uji wrote, most of the tram lines share the road with cars.

I searched "83号線 市電” with google, and found one candidate, which is in Hakodate. This is not a national highway (国道) but the road maintained by Hokkaido prefecture (道道).

In any case, you can see the street on "street view" of google maps, even if you mean other route 83.

the above blog says "generally No. with some exceptions.".

if the road has the sign as described below, you can run in tram line.
