We will be staying at the Grand Park Otaru Hotel and wonder where we may park nearer to the canal? I believe it's a 40min walk if we don't drive and we only have an afternoon there. Thanks.

Just wondering if you could also recommend a walking route starting from the Music Box Museum. We would like to see the Taishougarasu Museum, Kitaichi Glass, the canal, Tanaka Shuzo Main shop, Kitaichi Hall for lunch. Did I miss out any worthwhile sights? Any idea what's the parking rate in Otaru? If it's expensive, we may just leave the car parked at the hotel and walk into the sightseeing area and take the JR train back from Otaru Station. Thanks.
