Winter Closures

Please advise which main tourist attractions are closed in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto between Dec 29th, 2015 and January 9th, 2016.

Generally, none are closed for the entire period (except the tuna auctions at Tsukiji Market). But many sites are closed for some days cover New Year, especially museums. The following page has the basics:

Thank you! The link you sent is very useful but it's the 2014-2015 holiday season is it pretty much the same for this upcoming new year?
Also, are the bamboo gardens open late December- Sagano Chikurin and Arashiyama?
