Luggage to the Alpine Route

4 of us will be leaving to the Tateyama alpine route on 1-6-15. Leaving Tokyo station at 7:52 am to Nagano, the bus to Ogizawa at 10:25am. Overnight at Murodo hotel. Questions
1) Can we carry our own luggages all the wall to hotel, then down to Toyama ?
2) There is no luggages forwarding agent in Ogizawa
3) Are there any better way of transport( saving more time ) to Ogizawa from Tokyo station ? We have JR pass

There is a luggage forwarding service available in Shinano-Omachi station at the gift shop just outside the ticket gate, but the service is available only until 11:00 AM in the morning. They will deliver the luggage same day evening to all major hotels in Toyama. As for your question about alternate travel option from Tokyo, you can take a limited express train from Shinjuku to Matsumoto and then transfer to a local train for Shinano-Omachi. Regular buses are available from Shinano-Omachi station to Ogizawa. Hope this information helps.
