The train system in Japan seems to be somewhat complicated at first, but once you get used to it, it is very comvenient. If you do Kansai AP-Hineno-Wakayama-Shirahama-Osaka-Kyoto trip within 5 days, it will cost about 13,500 yen, so Kansai Wide Area Pass (8,500 yen) is a good value. If you have more questions, please do not hesitate to ask here.
