Safe to visit hakone hot spring June 15

I am in Tokyo now n would like to visit Olsen. Is it safe to visit hakone in view of recent volcanic activity? Any other suggestions for onsen experience, I day 1 night trip from Tokyo?

Of course! Did any fearmongering news source suggest you the opposite?
Just keep in mind that the Hakone Ropeway remains out-of-service and that it is not possible to visit the Owakudani area due to a no-entry zone.
