tanbo art at inakadate 2015/7/6 19:24
I will be in Hirosaki on 14 October. Is it too late to view the famous tanbo art? Are there other alternative places to view such masterpieces? I am very keen to see the awesome works especially with this year's "Gone with the Wind" theme.

According to this website (Inakadate village's), the viewing period from the observatory seems to be from June 1st to Oct. 12th, with Oct. 4th closed (due to a rice-harvesting tour visiting).

Yes, I saw that. I am just wondering if I could catch a glimpse of whatever might be left which could still be attractive. Sigh.
Any other tanbo art elsewhere?

Saitama Prefecture Gyoda is closest from Tokyo.
Until mid-October is it best, mowing I hear it in late November.

It seems to look better from the observatory of the kodaihasu kaikan(古代蓮会館).
