If you travel from KIX to Osaka city center on 14th and go back to KIX from city center on 28th, then you can not use Haruka & Icoca (note that this is not a pass: pass means you can travel unlimitedly in the pass area). With a Haruka & Icoca one way, you can go somewhere in Osaka such as Tennoji, Osaka or Shin-Osaka. You will have 2000 yen Icoca card. There are other options such as Osaka amazing pass Nankai version and several discount tickets using Nankai line. http://www.howto-osaka.com/en/railway/kix/fromkix/ticket.html#kixWith your itinerary, you might want to consider Japan Rail Pass 7 days for Kyoto-Takayama-Himeji-Hiroshima-Osaka.
