Hakone Route - Owakudani Closedown

Hi There,
With the closure of Owakudani & Hakone ropeway because of the volcanic activity, what is the best route for Hakone Sightseeing using the day pass?

My original plan was the popular Hakone route:
Romance car to Hakone Yumoto - Train to Gora - Cablecar to Sounzan - Ropeway to Owakudani - Ropeway to Togendaiko - Sightseeing cruise to Hakone machi

Will there be any bus/train from Sounzan to Togendaiko?
Also, any other place that sells that sulphur eggs?

There is a substitute bus service that takes you from Gora to Togendai (about 30 minutes).
