How to reach lake toya hokkaido

Hello,

I am a tourist who want to go on Hokkaido island in September. I don't have a car.
Specifically, I would like to go from Sapporo to the lake Toya, and catch the Usuzan ropeway to reach the top to enjoy the view of both lake and crater.

Could you help me? How can I reach these spot from Sapporo by public transports? And how about the frequence?

昭和新山 means Showa Shinzan; this is where the ropeway departs

For the Donan roundtrip ticket Toya JR station to Toya bus terminal, you can buy the tix at the JR station.
Theres a sign something like "Toya roundtrip bus ticket buy here"

For buses at the Toya lake , you need to pay depends on where you board and alight (please take the paper ticket at machine when you hop on bus)

Can you suggest me some nice spots from where I can enjoy Lake Toya view?
I saw that one is from the top of the Volcano, by Usuzan ropeway.
Do you have other suggestions?
