Yakushima monkeys

Where is best to see monkeys on Yakushima (they are a subspecies of the mainland monkeys)? Any suggestions for elsewhere in Japan? In japan from Sept 20 to Oct 13. Thanks for any help!

I saw them hanging around the parking lot of Shiratani Unsuikyo. Not aware of a special observation place (like Jigokudani in Nagano or the monkey mountain in Arashiyama).
