Naha Traveler. Rain/heat footwear?

Weather in Naha is hot and sometimes raining. Should I be bringing boots so my feet don't get wet? But it is also sunny at 33 degrees.
What footwear do you recommend?

What kind of weather are you used to? I would bring water repellant walking shoes and some quick-dry sandals.
