Is 100,000 yen enough for 7 days in Tokyo? 2015/8/28 23:42
Hi guys, I'd like to enquire if 100,000 Yen in total is enough to cover my daily expenses for 6D5N in Tokyo or should I bring more. (Expense for one person)

Details:

1) Hotels and Disneyland parks tickets are paid. (not included in the 100,000yen)

2) Places to visit : Tzukiji Fish Market, Ginza, Odaiba, Asakusa, Shinjuku, Akhibara.

3) Entrance fees will mostly go into Tokyo Skytree and etc.

4) Not planning to eat at fancy restaurants. Mostly street foods, cafes.

5) Planning to get Metro Tokyo Tourist Pass.

Thanks in advance!

That is enough for two people - we (two of us) get through about Y100k per week - maybe a bit more depending on how many nights out we have :)

On my three previous trips os Japan I had a budget of aprox. \2500 per day on meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and another \3500 por another expenses (bus/subways tickets, access to temples....). In total, \6000 a day, and I rarely surpassed it (in fact, it had a compensation with de remaining amounts from de days I spent less). So its \42000 for a week. You still have plenty of money to spend it partying, or even bring us a nice present ;)

Are you into shopping? See you are going to places like ginza and shinjuku. If so, you probably have about enough. If not into shopping you have enough to upgrade your lodging and eat at a middle class restaurant For lunch and dinner

Yes that is ample. You may want to upgrade your hotel with an expense like that.

If you walk along the Ginza high street, you can see Tsukiji mkt at the other end. I'd stayed at the hotel in Tsukiji area and walked along Ginza high st to Tokyo stn in 20mins.
