Tokyo to Kyoto

Hello guys!
ill be staying in tokyo for 6 Days. i am thinking to visit kyoto for a day trip only. im thinking leaving early morning in tokyo and then go back to at evening. is it worth it?

One day is not near enough to cover the main sights of Kyoto. Though, Kyoto is still a great place to gain insights in traditional Japan. Everyday in Kyoto is precious and a one day trip is fun. However, you are returning to Japan in the near future, you might want to consider spending that one day in sights near Tokyo that can be done within a day. Day trip to places like Kusatsu, Nikko, or Kamakura.
However, this all depends on the person and the situation. If you do not have the opportunity to return to Japan, please choose going to Kyoto as it is an amazing city.
