Trip to Hokkaido 2015/9/3 13:49
I am planning for a trip to Hokkaido end of the year in December with my family, total of 5 of us. My kids are teenager already, but I think going skiing will still be the main attraction for them. Can someone advise me where I should stay and which ski resort is the best ? Also what are the area that I should be visiting in Hokkaido.

On top of my head, ski resort in Hokkaido... Niseko and Tomamu, Niseko are very popular among foreigners these few years, or so I heard and read.

Check the link at the bottom of these pages for more info to decide which one suits your family more.

Without knowing how many days you had planned for Hokkaido, it is very hard to recommend where to go. The usual would be Sapporo+Otaru though..

Hi Angeline,

Niseko has been voted Japan's bet ski resort for the last two years in the World Ski Awards. It's a large international resort with world-class facilities and services, not to mention a range of accommodation options.

HT Holidays is Niseko's largest provider of condominiums and resort homes. Guests can make use of their full time (English speaking) Guest Services team and private ski valet.

If you're after hotel-style accommodation, then I suggest Ki Niseko - a new boutique ski-in ski-out hotel based right next to the Niseko Grand Hirafu high speed Gondola (very convenient for skiing). It's also very close to Gondola Snowsports if you're planning on taking ski or snowboard lessons.
