Omotesando to Skytree 2015/9/28 09:36
I'm planning to spend the day around Asakusa/Omotesando area, then later afternoon/evening around Skytree.
There will be 5-6 of us. What's the best way to get there? How much would a taxi cost? Thanks :)

Asakusa and Omotesando are actually quite apart... so ??? You can walk from Asakusa to Skytree if you want though.

Oops sorry, I'll be going from Asakusa. I got confused because I was reading a blog and it read 'Asakusa is the entry way to Omotesando (?)

Is it worthwhile to walk there (i.e are there stuff to see along the way) or better to save time and take transport?

Subway: Omotesando via Ginza line G02 to G08, change to Asakusa line A10 and get off Asakusa (A18) or Skytree (A20).

Sorry I'm going Asakusa - Skytree
Apparently there's public transport between the two but it's run by Tobu (I'll have a Tokyo Metro pass) which will cost \660 each?

Will a taxi be cheaper? Anyone know how much it'll be roughly? (I'm guessing we'll need 2 taxis though)

Take the Hanzomon Subway Line all the way: from Omotesando Station (at the far end of the avenue seen from Meiji Shrine) to Oshiage Station below the Skytree.

From Asakusa, you can walk to the Skytree in 20 minutes or take Tobu Railway for one station.

You may have confused Asakusa with Akasaka when thinking it's the gate to Omotesando.

Re: Omotesando to Skytree 2015/9/28 12:35
Asakusa? Akasaka? Which?

This is from Asakusa.
Take a regular Tobu(Railway campony name) commuter train 150Y enough.
https://goo.gl/maps/QhxG4DhEsir
Change dep date and time then click "schedule expolorer" under result.

660Y is by Tobu's "Limited Express" train
150Y + 510Y as Limited Express(seat) fee plus.
So no need for 2 min very short ride.

If confortable weather conditon by walk also enough.
Open "street view" of Google map from avobe link.

Anyway if from "Akasaka" change dep point.
But Akasaka is NOT gate of Omotesando.

@John B
Akasaka is Aoyama street by.
