Yunohira Observation Point

Hello
After the recent aborted eruption warning I thought if it is possible and safe to visit the Yunohira Observation Point by car, as it is the closest observation point there.
Just wondering, in case of a sudden eruption, is there any nearby shelter? I assume there will not be time to get away by car. The glass building by the observation point, would it be fine as shelter?

At the moment all the tourist attractions on Sakurajima are open, including the Yunohira Observation Point.
