Bike map around Shikoku temple no. 12 2015/10/5 01:38
Hello I plan to go in Shikoku in November to ride the 88 temple pelgrimage. I'm looking for a good cycling map because I read that sometime the way is not the same for walking Henro and biking Henro for ex. Temple 12.

This is but made by JP cyclist no EN menu and map.

However,Map based Google map(.co.jp [no EN] ver.) but no big different.
Left mune "霊場(rei-jyo)" means each temple number as official.
Click "距離(kyori) " suggested "distance" from No.1 temple by 5 km step(not each temples place)
Click "峠(touge)" means "pass" hard slope part as over the mountains area.
"標高(hyoko)" means "altitude" as pass peak.
This author also made another major touring spots in Japan widely.

Also this another cyclist made "GSI" and Google map based for mobile phone/PC.

Click "国土地理院 : Kokudo-chiri-in" (mentioned at bottom lines)
or each prefec prefecture (note: Koyasan is NOT Ohenro) then skip message by [OK] button.
This small window message is not important
just "Radio waves(for mobile) not reach region exit" as caution.
Purple pins are suggested place of each temple's main house
also Red and Yellow one are suggested place of each temple's sub house.

GSI?

But Japanese calling "Kokudo-chiri-in" usual no using EN name.
Kokudo-chiri-in map was very famous before Google map born.
But still worthful "contour line[等高線 toukou-sen]" with like this.

Google map helpful for finding shop or also street view.

Thank you very much for your exhaustive answer. Concerning the first Google map. What's means the read line, where is the cycling path?
Thanks a lot,
Henro
