Shosenkyo Gorge in half day

Hi all,
I'm planning to visit Shosenkyo gorge between 7-9 Nov (Sat-Mon). I heard it will be peak season at the gorge and and it may be difficult to board onto bus due to large crowd. I'm thinking to go on Monday morning and back to Ikebukuro station by 2pm to catch NEX.
Is half day enough to spend in Shosenkyo? Or will there be similar crowd even in weekday?
