help with snow town yeti bus service website 2015/11/11 19:20
Dear gurus,

I finally managed to find some information on a direct bus from Shinjuku to Snow Town Yeti but alas, it is Japanese. I tried to figure out but really hope you could help me in case I interpret wrongly (used Google translate). The websites are below:

http://www.fujikyu-travel.co.jp/free/?no=46
http://www.yeti-resort.com/access/linerbus.html

We would like to go on the 13th Dec, 2 adults and 2 kids (aged 10yrs and 12yrs). My qns:

1. Is there a direct bus service from Shinjuku and if yes, where is the bus stop located at Shinjuku as well as Yeti?
2. Can foreigners buy this ticket?
3. What is the difference between the various fares? Is child 10 and 12yrs under elementary? Main purpose is to go there to play snow as do not know how to ski nor snowboard..
4. Can we book online and is it an email confirmation of booking?

thank you so much!

1. Is there a direct bus service from Shinjuku and if yes, where is the bus stop located at Shinjuku as well as Yeti?

Yes, here's the reservation page:

http://www.fujiyama-navi.jp/reservation/tours/view/416/1063-140001

Bus stop at shinjuku is here near exit s3 at the underground mall on the west side of the station:

There's a special entrance at Yeti (it's a tiny park so you can't really get lost).

2. Can foreigners buy this ticket?

Yes, but the reservation system may be difficult to navigate. Might need to get a travel agent or hotel concierge to help you out.

3. What is the difference between the various fares? Is child 10 and 12yrs under elementary? Main purpose is to go there to play snow as do not know how to ski nor snowboard..

Fares are based on age and day of the week. For your date adults are 6200 yen while kids under 12 are 5200 yen.

4. Can we book online and is it an email confirmation of booking?

Yes and yes, although the system may have trouble with non-japanese credit cards. Can't say without trying to make a reservation. Btw, you can add rental gear to your order when making the reservation.
