How to onboard excursion ship at Kawaguchiko?

Hi,

I am from Malaysia.
My family (6 of us) plan to go to Kawaguchiko using JR Kanto pass on 01 Dec 2015 to view Mount Fuji by on boarding excursion ship at Kawaguchiko.

The question is, how to take the ship? At which point we need to buy the ship ticket?
