Kitaca Card

I am going Hokkaido and Tokyo in February.

I want to be crystal clear about these IC Transport cards.

IF I purchase a Kitaca Card in Sapporo, I can then use the card with its credit on all Metro and JR lines in Tokyo city itself?

Yes. And you can also re-charge it there. The only thing you cannot do in Tokyo is to return your card in order to get the balance and deposit refunded. That can only be done at JR stations in the Greater Sapporo region.

I'm traveling to Hokkaido in February. I have a question, can i use my KITACA card on the buses for example Chuo Bus and Donan Bus

Kitaca works Suica and PASMO area's all trains and buses.

Kitaca works SAPICA area's trains(subway and tram) and busese.
But only bus is not covered validity area wide.

SUICA, ICOCA, SUGOCA, KITACA IC cards are all interchangeable 100% for topping up, 99.9% interchangeable for use and 0% interchangeable for refund/return.
