Exchange of note at Narita Airport 2015/11/23 20:55
Is there anywhere in Narita airport where I can exchange a 10000yen note into smaller denomination?

Why not use the note for a purchase/service at the airport?

Ask at Information counter with "?" sign easy to find.
http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/service/list/svc_01.html
A lot of Bank counter and ATM exist but don't know possible(as no charge) or not.

I only know 7(Seven) bank ATM cannot.

But maybe no need.
Most shops, restaurants, transport(tickets and),vending machines and more service
accept 10000Y bill/note usual no worry even payig at out of airport.
(note)
Cannot accept over 1000Y bill/note when local regular commuter bus mostly.

Especially 2000Y bill/note when use ATM and too old type vending machines mostly.

(Try to say in Japanese?)
money exchange : 両替(ryogae)
bills/notes : 札(satsu)
1000Y bill/note : Sen-en Satsu
2000Y bill/note : NiSen-en Satsu
5000Y bill/note : GoSen-en Satsu
10000Y bill/note : IchiMan-en Satsu
No need "Y" of Yen sound.

Coins (硬貨 kouka)

but using "小銭(kozeni)" istead usual as talking.
