Disembarkation/embarkation Slip or Card 2015/11/25 15:04
I have CoE Visa. While departing from Tokyo; Immigration officer asked me whether i am returning to Tokyo; so i said "Yes, I am going back to my country for personal work and will come back after few weeks". On hearing this immigration officer advised me to fill a form called disembarkation/embarkation slip and gave my residence card back. And they stapled this disembarkation card slip to my passport. My questions

(1) Is this card or slip can be used for reentry to Japan?
(2) Whats the validity of this disembarkation/embarkation card slip?

Request your help in getting answers for the same. thanks in advance.

It was probably a "special re-entry permit", which is valid for one year.

read above.
first what do you mean by CoE visa? there is no CoE visa as far as I know, CoE mean Certificate of Eligibility, which you use for Visa application.

Since you have a residence card, that mean you already have status of residence.

anyway the card you filled, please check, it should be "Disembarkation/Embarkation for Reentrant".

To be filled when you plan to return to Japan without cancelling your status of residence. Make sure you tick the box mark
'Departure With Special Re-entry Permission.' on card no.1.
It mean you will be returning to Japan within one year, using the special re-entry permission.

In the old days, you need to apply for re-entry permit (single or multiple). Since new law, you only need to fill the card and tick the Special re-entry permission. If you plan to stay out of Japan more than one year and still keep your status of residence, then you will have to apply for re-entry permit.
