Hi
I like to visit Shiragawago when I am in Japan in Feb 2016. How can I include a day trip when I am in Tokyo?
Thank you.

That is pretty much impossible. It takes too long to get there and back. It would be better to stay a night in the vicinity. The only other option is to take a plane which is far too expensive IMO.

You can do it, but it's a long day.
Take the 9:32am Shinkansen Kagayaki 507 from Tokyo station arriving at Kanazawa station at 12:06pm.
Go to the Nohi Bus terminal just outside the Kanazawa train station, and buy a ticket for the 12:45pm bus to Shirakawa-go. Arrive at Shirakawa-go at 2:10pm.
Spend 3 hours at Shirakawa-go (which in my own personal opinion is long enough) and then take the 5:30pm bus back to Kanazawa arriving at Kanazawa station at 6:45pm.
Catch the 6:51pm Shinkansen Kagayaki 514 back to Tokyo station, arriving at 9:19pm. Or you could catch the 7:39pm Shinkansen Kagayaki 516 arriving in Tokyo at 10:12pm.
