Bus Schedules in Izu Peninsula

Hi,

Would appreciate any help on bus schedules for the following routes please:

1. Shimoda to Cape Irozaki and back
2. Shimoda to Shuzen-ji Onsen
3. Ito to Shuzen-ji Onsen
4. Shimoda to Dogashima
5. Dogashima to Shuzen-ji Onsen

Is there any bus that would go from Cape Irozaki to Dagoshima?

Or is there a rental car company that we can rent from Shimoda and return at Shuzen-ji?

Renting a car is the best way to see Izu. I rented one many years ago in Shimoda. Just put "Shimoda car rental" in your search box and you will find them.

A nice option would be to hire a car from either Atami or Mishima and then drive to both of your locations. It would involve hiring the car for a night, but would open up what you can do quite a lot. Note that both of these train stations are on the Shinkansen line and at the top of the Izu Peninsula. do note that driving in Izu (especially along the beach) is very busy on weekends when the weather is hot but dead during the week.

Driving down the west side of Izu in the morning will have the sun in your eyes - not easy driving.
