Sakura Blossoms in early May

My family and I are planning to go to Japan in late April to early May to see Sakura blossoming, and I do some research that most prefectures already have their sakura bloomed.
If I may ask the question, were there any prefectures that still have their sakura blossomed in late April to early May? Thanks!

There are some good resources around detailing viewing spots. Hirosaki is on my list for April as it is an impressive castle park even out of season.
A short list I complied a while ago from different resources.
Tohoku Region viewing locations Hirosaki Park, Aomori prefecture - late April to early May. ~2,600 trees. Samuari Mansions in Kakunodate, Akita prefecture - late April to early May. ~400 trees. Tenshochi in Kitami Municipal Park, Iwate prefecture - late April to early May. ~10,000 trees. Shiroshi River, Miyagi prefecture - mid to late April. ~1,000 trees. Okitama Cherry Blossom Corridor, Yamagata prefecture - mid to late April. Miharu Takizakura, Fukushima prefecture - mid to late April. One! Takada Castle, Niigata prefecture - mid April. ~4,000 trees. Takato Joshi Park, Nagano prefecture - mid April. ~1,500 trees.
