Kanazawa Kenrokuen during Sakura season

I am planning a trip to Kanazawa and I am pondering if it would be better to plan for it in mid-April or at a later time. if the sakura trees in Kanazawa's Kenrokuen are super-spectacular, I would go for that season. if not, I probably would go at a later time when the garden is presumably a little bit quieter iif it ever isj. I have seen a lot of cherry blossoms in Japan already, so I would only go there during the sakura season if it is really special...

It is not as spectacular as Osaka or Kyoto. You might want to try a different season. That said, everyone would be going to Yoshino, Kyoto, Osaka,Tokyo... during sakura season so Kenrokuen may actually be quieter.

Kanazawa is a good option for the variety of trees that they have.
However, do not count on it being quieter than other locations as visitor numbers have increased dramatically in the past year.
