Just go to the JR Pass site... The info is all there.

The guideline is that if you make a round-trip between Osaka/Kyoto and Tokyo on JR Shinkansen trains within a 7-day period, then a 7-day Japan Rail Pass pays off. You need to compare the individual fares vs. the price of the pass looking at your itinerary.

Kansai - Osaka - Nagoya - Tokyo are connected via JR Shinkansen.

Because you are stopping in Nagoya the 7-day pass is about the same as individual tickets. For a simple Osaka/Kyoto to Tokyo return (or reverse) the Japanican e-voucher is cheaper.

The Narita-Tokyo-Kyoto/Osaka trip is slightly more than the individual tickets if completed within seven days, but that is counting the Y3000 each way on the N'Ex. The difference is using the Y4000 return (Y2000 less) changes the calculation again.
