Itinerary Advice

I am wanting some practical advice on the below itinerary. In particular is there an obvious destination along the route I have chosen that I should explore further? Is there something obvious I have missed that makes this plan possibly hard.

I also want to visit the Toyota Factory Plant Tour but cannot figure how to insert it? Was thinking of inserting it between Kanazawa and Kyoto but unsure where to base myself before and afterwards for this. Is this possible as a day trip from somewhere?

Toyota city is slightly east of Nagoya, so it seems the most natural place to put it is right after Tokyo, then you can take the Shinano train from the Nagoya area to Matsumoto, and continue with your plan.
